Meet The Maker

Again, welcome to my shop!  To say I am grateful to be once again designing, making and using my imagination to share with you my creations would be an understatement.  The reason I can be sharing my story with you is due to my wife of 45 years.  Without her support and unwavering belief in me, I doubt we would be sharing this time together right now!  Along the way we raised absolutely 3 amazing independent women.  I never have to wonder if I managed to get it right, I know of a least 4 times!!!

You may be wondering why I named my business Lucky Duck Woodworking?  The woodworking part is fairly obvious, the other two require a little explanation.  First my real name is Lucky.  When I was born my parents did not have a name picked out, so when the nurse asked what name to place on my birth certificate my father felt he was very fortunate and lucky to have a son.  And with that my name became Lucky.  Now for the duck - well I graduated from the University of Oregon, enough said!
